diet of worms

diet of worms

for Bill McKibben

Nutritionists discover that when you eat books the point-of-view of the author gets stored in fat cells of the brain like THC. Effects went unnoticed for years because the standard for clinical trials requires animal testing first. But animals can't read. (except for the new series of books translated into animal languages. See plot 74). The effect of eating books turns out to be similar to reading - but more vague. For example, you might not be able to express why you like Naomi Wolf even after eating her book. Future studies will control for confounding factors like paper type, hard-core versus paperback, books in languages not spoken by the eater, and length of time spent eating. Like drugs, certain books cause adverse interactions when eaten together.
